Aloe Vera “Immortality Plant” Used in Mayan-Influenced Experience At Grand Velas Riviera Maya’s Award-Winning Spa

Riviera Maya, Mexico (October 3, 2016)

Aloe Vera Massage The internationally recognized spa at Grand Velas Riviera Maya now complements its new Aloe Vera Massage with an Aloe Vera beverage post-treatment to amplify effects. The Mayans call Aloe Vera the "immortality plant" because of its great regenerating life powers. It's the newest in the spa's Flavors and Traditions of Mexico path.
Recommended for sun-damaged skin, the Aloe Vera Massage provides deep hydration to the skin, prolonging one's tan and helping avoid peeling. A healthy Aloe Vera drink infused with lemon is served at the end of the treatment that alkalizes the body, supports the immune system, helps to lower high cholesterol, fights inflammation, and increases vitamin and mineral intake. Furthermore, the beverage is said to cure gum issues, reduce acne, hydrate the body, remove toxins, improve hair growth, and stimulate the digestive system.
The Spa's Flavors and Traditions of Mexico Path also features the Bacal Massage using one of the Mayan's most sacred plants – corn; Mayan Jade Facial; Coffee & Cocoa Experience, an exfoliation and massage with both native Mexican products; and Úumbal Shawl Massage, a full-body treatment with creative choreography dating back to prehistoric times. The 50-minute Aloe Vera Massage treatment costs $236 USD. For more information, please call 1-888-407-4869 or visit www.luxuryspamexico.com or www.rivieramaya.grandvelas.com.
