Grand Celebrations Set for Mexican Independence Day (September 15th) at Velas Resorts
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (July 20, 2023) - In celebration of Mexican Independence Day (September 15th), Velas Resorts in Riviera Maya, Riviera Nayarit, Puerto Vallarta, and Los Cabos will host a range of festive activities including themed parties, festive traditional dishes, music, activities, and more. Guests can fully immerse themselves in Mexican culture through a variety of celebratory offerings, delving into the country's deeply rooted history.
At Velas Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, from Friday, September 15th to Sunday, September 17th, guests can partake in a vibrant three-day celebration filled with delightful traditional Mexican cuisine, lively music, and engaging activities. The menu will showcase an array of Mexican gastronomy, starting with the classic and deletable chiles en nogada, tamales, a variety of tacos, and an assortment of authentic Mexican salsas. The celebration will also feature an all female mariachi and regional dance show. Guests will have the opportunity to engage in various games and activities that showcase Mexican traditions including an array of local handicrafts. In addition, special tasting stations will be arranged for guests to try traditional Mexican snacks, desserts, and typical sweets including dulce de leche, tamarind candies, and churros.

Also in Puerto Vallarta, the collection's luxury boutique adults only property, Casa Velas, will offer a special chile rellenos dish at Emiliano Restaurant. Additionally, a Mexican fair will also be held, featuring games such as lotería (Mexican bingo), dice, a mechanical bull, ring toss, marbles, and more, offering both adults and children a chance to fully immerse themselves in the traditions of the country. The event will be accompanied by live music, and attendees will be able to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine.
