In celebration of French gastronomy, the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Maya will present a special tasting menu at Piaf Restaurant, prepared by Resort Executive Chef and Maître Cuisiniers de France Michel Mustiere on March 21, 2016. The celebration is part of the second annual international Goût de France/Good France event, in which more than 1,500 chefs on all five continents serve simultaneous dinners honoring the merits of French cuisine and its capacity for innovation. The five-course dining experience, complimentary for guests of Grand Velas Riviera Maya, includes such delights as a beet salad with avocado mousse, lobster medallions and a green apple sorbet; Beef Cheek Bourguignon; Filet of Fish with eggplant puree, white truffle spinach and crispy proscuitto; an authentic French Cheese Plate selected by the Chef; and a lemon tart with red fruit sorbet.
Mustiere is Executive Chef of Grand Velas Riviera Maya after previously serving as Executive Chef of Piaf Restaurant, a AAA Four Diamond Award for Restaurants. Mustiere brings with him more than 25 years of culinary experience in various countries and different prestigious restaurants and hotels worldwide. He is one of only ten chefs in Mexico, 300 in the world to attain the prestigious Master Chef title.
