Grand Velas Riviera Maya Unveils Renovated Kids' and Teens' Clubs with Jungle-Inspired Design and Tech-Forward Gaming
Riviera Maya, Mexico (July 30, 2025) - Grand Velas Riviera Maya announces the grand opening of its new Kids' and Teens' Clubs. The spaces were designed to create engaging experiences that balance nature appreciation with modern entertainment. The new facilities officially opened July 3, 2025, with additional features and a new second floor of the Teens' Club launching in late August
The new Kids' Club transforms the space into a Mayan jungle-inspired sanctuary that serves as Pancho's, the resort's beloved mascot, home, and emphasizes hands-on, screen-free activities that encourage creativity and nature connection through both indoor and outdoor spaces. The club features dedicated areas for arts and crafts, a dance floor, and an imaginative playhouse. An outdoor terrace extends the experience into nature, hosting afternoon activities including picnics with mini shows and artistic workshops such as ceramic and alebrijes painting. Programming celebrates regional culture through activities including piñata creation, "Ojos de Dios" workshops similar to dream catchers, and traditional Mexican toy fun. Culinary experiences include cupcake, cookie, and crepe decorating classes, while wellness offerings feature mini yoga and eco-tours that teach children about local culture and environmental stewardship.
The new Teens' Club creates a sophisticated entertainment environment designed for older children seeking both high-tech gaming and cultural enrichment. The main floor features billiard tables, foosball, PlayStation 5 gaming consoles, and a disco room. The second floor, upon opening at the end of the summer, will house an extensive arcade area with basketball games, sports simulators, and car racing games. A golf simulator provides opportunities for skill development, while a VIP cinema will play family movies throughout the day. Cultural programming includes hands-on guacamole and sushi cooking classes, Huichol beading art workshops, and Mexican bracelet making. The club will introduce new wellness offerings including facial and skincare activities, plus hand-painted water bottle workshops as well for older children.
Supervised from 9 am - 11 pm daily for anytime drop off, the kids' club promotes family participation, with parents encouraged to join activities if interested. The teens club is open from 11 am - 11 pm daily with the hours of 9 pm - 11 pm being exclusive to teens ages 12 and up.
The new Kids' and Teens' clubs complement a robust baby concierge program and activities schedule for all ages. The Kids' Club and Teens' Club main floor opened on July 3, 2025. The second-floor arcade and additional amenities will follow in late August and a brand new Jungle Kids' Spa at the Zen Grand ambiance is to open in late October. The new facilities represent Grand Velas Riviera Maya's commitment to creating age-appropriate experiences that honor Mexican culture while providing modern amenities for young guests. Nightly rates start at $636 per person per night based on double occupancy. For reservations or additional information, call 1-888-407-4869, or visit www.rivieramaya.grandvelas.com
