International Celebration of Magic Worthy of the MERLIN, the “Oscars” of Magic, Stars at Grand Velas Riviera Maya Thanksgiving
Riviera Maya, Mexico (November 4, 2019) - A team of nine including magicians from the US, Japan and Mexico will work their magic this Thanksgiving at Grand Velas Riviera Maya. From November 27 to 29, guests of the resort will be treated to daily performances of this highly awarded team in the "Magic Begins Here" Festival. At the festival, the resort will be the first hotel to ever be awarded the MERLIN, considered the "Oscar" of Magic.
A highlight of the festival will include a picnic in the garden where children can interact with the magicians. Besides a sumptuous traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, there will be a dinner show alternating on no fewer than three stages. And the special events will conclude with "up close and personal" with the stars at the resort's three restaurants.
"We wanted to do something special this year to create special memories at Thanksgiving and what better than a magic extravaganza that all ages can enjoy," said Rodolfo González Munguía, Managing Director of Grand Velas Riviera Maya.
The festival is named for Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante's famed "Mago" (magician). He holds a sign stating the obvious, "Aqui empieza la magia" or The Magic Begins Here. The whimsical sculpture is on display at the Grand Velas resorts in Los Cabos and Riviera Nayarit, demonstrating the collection's commitment to showcasing the finest of Mexican art.
All events are included at no extra cost in the daily rate.
Nightly rates start at $478 USD. Rates are per person based on double occupancy and include luxury suite accommodations, à la carte gourmet meals at a variety of specialty restaurants, premium branded beverages, 24-hour in-suite service, fitness center, taxes, gratuity and more.
