This is considered the best family resort in Mexico, and having been to one almost every year, but the first time at Grand Velas, I can confirm it is true. The kids and teens clubs are unmatched. There is so much going on for them, they didn’t want to leave, and this is our first time ever having that. The food is some of the best I’ve had, period. The drinks, service and beauty are top notch. Worth every penny.

Acabo de volver de mi estancia en el Grand Velas y la experiencia no podría haber sido mejor. Aunque el viaje fue por trabajo, ya que tenía que organizar un evento en el hotel, desde el primer momento me hicieron sentir como en casa. El trato humano del equipo es excepcional, algo que no siempre se encuentra en hoteles de este nivel y tamaño. Quiero destacar especialmente a mi concierge, Jessica Meza. Es una auténtica profesional: siempre atenta, cercana y pendiente de cada detalle para que todo estuviera perfecto. Personas como ella son las que realmente marcan la diferencia y hacen que un viaje se convierta en una experiencia memorable. También me sorprendió mucho poder ver animales como mapaches y coatíes moviéndose con total tranquilidad por el entorno, perfectamente integrados, lo que le da un encanto especial al lugar. La comida merece una mención aparte. Los bufets ofrecen una variedad enorme, pero lo más impresionante es la calidad del producto: todo fresco, bien preparado y delicioso. Se nota que cuidan mucho cada detalle. Las habitaciones, además, son amplias y comodísimas, ideales para descansar de verdad después de un día intenso. El ambiente general del hotel es muy tranquilo y relajante, justo lo que necesitaba. En definitiva, un lugar perfecto para desconectar y dejarse cuidar. Sin duda, totalmente recomendable.

Our best experience in the Riviera Maya thus far! My wife and stayed at the resort for 4 days and the experience was absolutely spectacular. There is a lot of attention to detail everywhere. From the moment your transportation drops you at the lobby and then greeted by the wonderful staff, to the first hour you spend by the beach reading your favorite booked paired with a delicious drink of your choice. The food is incredible, highlighting Mexican cuisine heritage at Chaka and Azul, but really showing off when you grab dinner at Frida's, where Chef Gaston's skills are an ode to joy. Wine enthusiast out there: there are almost 50 labels of wine available by the glass (all included in your stay). Most of the well- known wine regions are fully covered in their menu whether you like red, white, rose or sparkling! Families with babies, toddlers and young kids... this is parents paradise. Facilities and meant and designed for families. Lots of options for kids at the multiple clubs. The hotel even has a baby food menu (listing all ingredients and allergens, 100% natural and homemade) We regret not taking our daughter to the trip, but we are definitely coming back with her as soon as we can.
