We just returned from an incredible stay at Grand Velas, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The resort is stunning, the food is exceptional, and the service is truly second to none. One of the biggest surprises was the Teen Club. My son is 9 years old, and there were so many fun, engaging activities that he couldn’t wait to go back each day. We especially loved that they embraced the excitement of the World Cup with themed games and competitions. It created such a festive atmosphere for guests of all ages. A special thank you to Susana and Allen, who were absolutely amazing (along with the entire Teens club team, too many to name!). They made sure my son felt included, encouraged him to participate, and treated him with such kindness and enthusiasm. They are wonderful ambassadors for the resort. We were also fortunate to have Jeronimo and Nicolas as our concierges, and they were nothing short of exceptional. We were celebrating my son’s birthday during our stay, and they went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. From thoughtful surprises to making sure every detail was taken care of, they made him feel incredibly special. Throughout our vacation, they were always just a message away and handled every request quickly, professionally, and with genuine warmth. Their positive attitudes and dedication to guest service made a tremendous difference in our experience. The dining was another standout. Every meal was excellent, but our favorite dinners were at Lucca and Sen Lin. Both delivered outstanding cuisine, beautiful presentation, and impeccable service that rivaled some of the best restaurants we’ve visited anywhere. It’s easy to find a beautiful resort, but it’s much harder to find one where the people consistently make you feel so well cared for. The staff at Grand Velas delivered that experience every single day. We left with wonderful memories and are already planning our next visit. My spouse and I spent a week at Grand Velas Riviera Maya for our honeymoon, and it exceeded every expectation we had. We've stayed at some wonderful resorts before, but the level of service here was truly unlike anything we've experienced. The resort was operating at limited capacity during our stay, and it genuinely felt as though we had the entire property to ourselves. What sets Grand Velas apart is its people. Our concierge, Alfonso ("Twinkie"), was absolutely incredible. He consistently went above and beyond to create special, romantic moments throughout our stay. One evening, after a relaxing day by the pool, we returned to our suite to find a beautifully prepared bath waiting for us. It was those thoughtful surprises that made our honeymoon unforgettable. Braulio made an exceptional first impression when we arrived, ensuring our check-in was seamless and making us feel welcome from the moment we stepped onto the property. At the pool, Reyes took outstanding care of us every day. We never had to think about a thing. He made sure we were always well fed, well hydrated, and completely relaxed. During dinner at Lucca, Ariel provided fantastic service and even surprised us with a serenade from the saxophonist. It was such a memorable and personal touch that perfectly captured the spirit of the resort. We also looked forward to breakfast each morning at Bistro, where Luz consistently provided warm, attentive service and started our days off perfectly. The food deserves special recognition. Every restaurant was excellent, but Frida and Lucca were so exceptional that we ended up dining at both twice during our stay. The quality, presentation, and service rivalled some of the best restaurants we've visited anywhere. Our suite was absolutely massive, beautifully appointed, and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the nightly turndown service, which added another layer of luxury to an already incredible experience. If you're considering Grand Velas Riviera Maya, don't hesitate. We would recommend it wholeheartedly, first for the truly unmatched service and second for the outstanding food. We honestly would not change a single thing about our stay. It was the perfect honeymoon, and we cannot wait to return.
