Luxury Riviera Maya Hotel Reviews

Our experience at Grand Velas Riviera Maya was absolutely incredible. As a first timer in Mexico, I was blown away by the customer service, beauty, and experience of the culture through the employees and people. This was a company trip in which Top Performers were awarded this experience and it left many of us inspired to take the same delightful experience to our customers back at home. Most importantly, our concierge, Nico, went above and beyond to make us feel EXTRA cared for and special. As if we didn’t feel gifted enough, he didn’t just complete our requests, he anticipated them, was proactive about delighting us and that felt so good! He is warm, friendly, easy to talk to, and puts his own touch on his service. He has lots of ambition, drive, & I can tell he’s going to have a great career here. Everyone from the room staff to pool staff to bartenders, to waiters were amazing. I am honored to have this experience and cannot wait to be back! 10/10 recommend!

This is an incredible 5-star all-inclusive resort. Pros: -heated pool for children, prior to going it was unclear if the pool at Ambassador was heated, and it definitely is. -they have activities throughout the day for the kids, including pool games, which the kids really enjoyed -teen room has lots of games, arcade games, video games, billiards, and fooseball -food is excellent. I get nervous about food quality at all-inclusives, and this was exceptional. Restaurants Frida and Lucca were great, would go again. -service is exceptional. on our last day the concierge said someone would get our luggage from our room at 9:00 am while we were at breakfast and when we were done with breakfast, luggage was in the lobby ready for checkout. -this hotel is very well-organized, staff is very friendly, and resort is clean. Area for improvement: -Would love to have chicken and veggie burger options for the daily burgers that are served by the pool *overall, will definitely go back.

Gracias Grand Velas for making this trip relaxing, enjoyable, and truly memorable. My husband and I visited for a long weekend (but not quite long enough!) for my 40th birthday. We arranged for private transportation to and from the airport (booked through resort directly) which made traveling from the US seamless and stress-free. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed with the beauty of this resort. Set in a tropical jungle oasis right along the beach of Riviera Maya, we took in the views of the lush green landscapes and bright purple flowers that lined the verandas. We also had the opportunity to see many of the local wildlife. After arriving in the lobby, we were introduced to our personal concierge Diana Lopez, who took great care of all our needs from check-in to check-out. By messaging through WhatsApp, she was able to confirm our dinner reservations and inform us of various activities within the resort each day we were there. We spent our mornings on the beach, afternoons by the Grand Class pool, and evenings in the various restaurants this resort has to offer. Each meal was memorable in its own way. We had the pleasure of dining at Frida (shout out to Ariel who not only made amazing food and drink recommendations but was also very entertaining), Chaka, Cocina de Autor (a Michelin star restaurant), and Lucca. The staff at each location truly made you feel like you were their top priority and went above and beyond to provide you with an exceptional experience. We were sad to leave but know that if we ever plan to travel to this area again, we will not hesitate to return to Grand Velas. Thanks again!
