Luxury Riviera Maya Hotel Reviews

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand velas in riviera maya, but considering the cost it could have felt more customized. Positives: Amazing service, great food, low occupancy, peaceful. Negatives: View not as promised, no children specific service, few events, high spa cost even when all inclusive, poor wine selection.

The four stars primary come from the noise factor... I got the room by the elevator so I had people drunk coming back to their rooms up till 2am sometimes... then the cleaning people start making their rounds at around 7am and others start waking for breakfast. All together, i probably slept 4 hours each night MAXIMUM. I figured I'd sleep on the beach, but the adults only section has constant music and screaming adults and the family side has loud kids. They really need to start splitting these resorts into quiet section and noisy section 😒 enforcement of noise is what I'm starting to want as people have just become inconsiderate about anyone but themselves (here's to you hungover white lady who thinks, "sucks to suck just get a better room.") That said the food, service and attentiveness of the staff is fantastic. The location/views and grounds are beautiful. Just avoid room 4032 next to the elevator.... if you want quiet I recommend the jungle side of the hotel which felt much calmer when I walked the grounds.

Resort wonderful but restaurant above average but nothing special the sunday brunch though was outstanding
