Luxury Riviera Maya Hotel Reviews

Gracias Grand Velas for making this trip relaxing, enjoyable, and truly memorable. My husband and I visited for a long weekend (but not quite long enough!) for my 40th birthday. We arranged for private transportation to and from the airport (booked through resort directly) which made traveling from the US seamless and stress-free. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed with the beauty of this resort. Set in a tropical jungle oasis right along the beach of Riviera Maya, we took in the views of the lush green landscapes and bright purple flowers that lined the verandas. We also had the opportunity to see many of the local wildlife. After arriving in the lobby, we were introduced to our personal concierge Diana Lopez, who took great care of all our needs from check-in to check-out. By messaging through WhatsApp, she was able to confirm our dinner reservations and inform us of various activities within the resort each day we were there. We spent our mornings on the beach, afternoons by the Grand Class pool, and evenings in the various restaurants this resort has to offer. Each meal was memorable in its own way. We had the pleasure of dining at Frida (shout out to Ariel who not only made amazing food and drink recommendations but was also very entertaining), Chaka, Cocina de Autor (a Michelin star restaurant), and Lucca. The staff at each location truly made you feel like you were their top priority and went above and beyond to provide you with an exceptional experience. We were sad to leave but know that if we ever plan to travel to this area again, we will not hesitate to return to Grand Velas. Thanks again!

I have been to a lot of places and this is by far one of the best experiences I've ever had in my life. There is truly something for everyone with different sections some being in the jungle others being directly on the beach. It has the best teens and kids club of any resort I've ever been to in my life. There is the adult only grand class section for romantic getaways and a kid free area and kid free pool with the swim up bar. Ricardo and Alejandro our personal concierge was amazing. We had some problems in our second room 3045 and they worked diligently to get it taken care of. We had a few maintenance problems in our second room but it was handled accordingly. We had one day where we ordered Monte Cristo but we received regular French toast. It wasn't a huge deal but is a mistake that should not be made at this level of property considering the price point, I believe everything should be near perfect. They were willing to fix it but I had an appointment with their members team and a spa appointment. So I'm not bashing them but just being transparent. It was a pleasure working with Aaron Ortiz and making a testimonial to why I love the brand and all of the Velas properties. This place is truly five star five diamond and you will notice that from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. All of this stuff is excellent and well trained at making a truly personalized and professional high class experience. You cannot go wrong, It is amazing in every way and the price reflects that. But you get what you pay for. Good stuff ain't cheap and cheap stuff ain't good. Highly recommend.
