Luxury Riviera Maya Hotel Reviews

My spouse and I spent a week at Grand Velas Riviera Maya for our honeymoon, and it exceeded every expectation we had. We've stayed at some wonderful resorts before, but the level of service here was truly unlike anything we've experienced. The resort was operating at limited capacity during our stay, and it genuinely felt as though we had the entire property to ourselves. What sets Grand Velas apart is its people. Our concierge, Alfonso ("Twinkie"), was absolutely incredible. He consistently went above and beyond to create special, romantic moments throughout our stay. One evening, after a relaxing day by the pool, we returned to our suite to find a beautifully prepared bath waiting for us. It was those thoughtful surprises that made our honeymoon unforgettable. Braulio made an exceptional first impression when we arrived, ensuring our check-in was seamless and making us feel welcome from the moment we stepped onto the property. At the pool, Reyes took outstanding care of us every day. We never had to think about a thing. He made sure we were always well fed, well hydrated, and completely relaxed. During dinner at Lucca, Ariel provided fantastic service and even surprised us with a serenade from the saxophonist. It was such a memorable and personal touch that perfectly captured the spirit of the resort. We also looked forward to breakfast each morning at Bistro, where Luz consistently provided warm, attentive service and started our days off perfectly. The food deserves special recognition. Every restaurant was excellent, but Frida and Lucca were so exceptional that we ended up dining at both twice during our stay. The quality, presentation, and service rivalled some of the best restaurants we've visited anywhere. Our suite was absolutely massive, beautifully appointed, and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the nightly turndown service, which added another layer of luxury to an already incredible experience. If you're considering Grand Velas Riviera Maya, don't hesitate. We would recommend it wholeheartedly, first for the truly unmatched service and second for the outstanding food. We honestly would not change a single thing about our stay. It was the perfect honeymoon, and we cannot wait to return.

Our 20th wedding anniversary and holy cow what a place !! Can't get any nicer in our opinion!! Carolina and Alfonso helped us with everything and they really made our trip incredible! Alex at the pool bar was awesome and so many others ! Thanks so much for everything!

While unforeseen issues can happen anywhere in the hospitality industry, what truly sets a luxury brand apart is how they respond when things do not go exactly according to plan. ​ ​It is incredibly reassuring to see a resort stand behind its product and value its returning guests so highly. They completely turned a frustrating situation into a positive customer service experience, restoring our complete confidence in their standard of excellence.
